Approximately 40% of food is wasted while 1 in 7 individuals faces food insecurity. This significant issue is being tackled by food rescue heroes, who play a crucial role in the solution.

By dedicating as little as 30 minutes of your time, you have the opportunity to rescue perfectly good food from being discarded and deliver it to organizations that support those in need of food assistance.

Utilize your existing social media accounts to register as a food rescue hero, setting your preferences for the time and location of potential rescues. Receive alerts when rescues are available, choosing only those that align with your schedule - whether you opt to participate daily, weekly, or for a trial run.

Throughout the process, you will receive guidance on where to collect the food and where to deliver it. Additionally, the app provides information about the work carried out by the nonprofit you are assisting, allowing you to witness firsthand the impact of your actions on alleviating hunger.

After your rescue mission, capture a selfie to share on social media, spreading awareness about 412 Food Rescue and encouraging others to join the ranks of food rescue heroes!
